Abdul R. Qadir, age 75 of Dayton passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on July 14, 1948 in Dayton, Ohio the son of Frank Sr. & Wilda (Bunch) Appleberry. He was an active member of the the ISGD on Jossie St in Dayton and he loved to go fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Lois (Billingsley) Appleberry; children Latosha Appleberry, Franco Appleberry, Lateefah Appleberry, Linda Appleberry, Felicia Appleberry, and Derek; grandchildren Tiara Appleberry, Joe Hunter, Maddie Jones, Gabriella Appleberry, Ra'mya Appleberry, Raheem Appleberry, Josh Harris and Jada Harris; great granddaughter Raelyn Hunter; sister Carolyn (Sammie) Moore and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Larry Appleberry and sisters Betty Smith, Emma Jean Clark and Lois. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend and will be missed by all who loved him.

A memorial service will be held by the family on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at 10:30 am at the ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City. Islamic Prayers and Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
