Obituary

Albert Beal, age 91 of Huber Heights passed into heaven peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. He was born in Dayton on September 9, 1932 the son of Walter Henry & Goldie Florence (Longstreath) Beal. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy from 1952-1956 where he served in the Korean War. He worked at Dayton Press for 32 years then retired from Emery Worldwide after 17 years. He was a member of the Landmark Baptist Church and North Dayton Baptist Church. He loved to work in his yard and feed and watch the birds and was an all around athlete, avid bowler and runner.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Edna Jo (Sanner) Beal; children Darrell (Wendy) Beal and Becky (Tom McAndrew) Beal; seven grandchildren Ashley Beal, Sara (Nick) Ardner, Jamie Beal, Gabrielle (Cody) Hollon, Sam (Bonnie) Beal, Calvin (Gaby) Beal and Sydney Beal; nine great grandchildren Kiera, William, Gemma, Madison, Baine, Nina, Damen, Kennedy and Lorelai.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Terry Beal, and his brother Walter Beal. The family would like to thank Wendy for her time and sacrifices in taking care of Albert for the past few months.

A gathering of friends and family will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 from 12:00 – 1:00 pm at the ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. A burial with Military Honors will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
