Angelita Gibson, age 81 of Dayton went to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at Brighton Gardens, Centerville. She was born in Kitts, Kentucky on October 20, 1937 the daughter of Anthony & Maxine Verdonik. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God in Dayton where she was always willing to help in the church nursery and with many church dinners. Angelita had a big heart and was always willing to help anyone who needed it. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her,

She is survived by her children Victor Habersmith, Tona Karrick, Pam Smith, Greg (Jackie) Gibson, Mark (Crisina) Gibson, Jon (Becky) Gibson, and Eric (Kristina) Gibson; 16 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband William Smith, second husband Vaughn Gibson and a brother Donald Verdonik. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Brighton Gardens in Washington Twp. and Hospice of Dayton for their care, concern and compassion during this difficult time.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, January 4, 2019 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the BLESSING-ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Jon Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
