Anna Rex Bradley, age 92 of Tipp City, passed away Monday, November 25, 2019 at Grace Brethren Village, Englewood. She was born on August 28, 1927 in Degraff, Ohio the daughter of Ruben Guy & Edith Belle (Garling) Rex. She moved to Dayton to attend Miami Valley School of Nursing. She practiced nursing at Miami Valley for over thirty years as an emergency room head nurse. She later went to work for the late Dr. Thomas Graul as an assistant in plastic surgery. She had a variety of interests and hobbies. She liked to cross county ski, hike and bicycle. She rode in long distance bicycle events and hiked the Appalachian Trail and reached the summit in Maine. She drove with her family to Alaska when there was only gravel roads to drive on. She participated in ballot and ballroom dancing and earned many awards. She attended the Dayton Ballot and supported the company for many years. She was a huge fan of John Wayne and has read thousands of books. Most important of all was her generous and giving heart. She took in stray cats and dogs. She donated each year to Samaritan's Purse, Red Cross and her beloved Republican Party. Her generosity to her family is beyond measure. She always had a smile, a helping hand and an encouraging word. She was well loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Rex & Sheila Bradley, grandsons Vincent, Michael, Nicholas (Megan) Lucas and Seth; great grandchildren Sebastian, Savannah and Levi; and a sister Mildred (Johnny) Busch.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William Thomas Bradley in 2000, and brothers Eddie and Norman Rex.
A private service and burial at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City will be held at the convenience of the family. Blessing-Zerkle Funeral Home, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City has been entrusted with the services. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Anna's memory to a charity of your choice. Condolences may be sent to the family through this online geustbook.
