Arminta E. Casada, age 89 of West Milton and formerly of Vandalia, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2014 in her residence. She was born in Whitesburg, Kentucky on November 4, 1924 the daughter of Jasper & Mary Elizabeth (Tyree) Collins. She was a veteran of the U.S. Navy Waves and served in New York during WWII. She retired from General Motors in 1975.
She is survived by her children Harry (Sharon) Casada, Billie (Harley) Zachery, Tony (Pam) Casada, and Charles Casada, 9 grandchildren Amy Casada, Adam (Betrice) Casada, Brian (Christy) Thomas Harley (Stacey) Zachery II, Alicia (Mike) Hempy, Amanda (Daryl) Glenn, Emily Casada, Josh (Mindy) Branscomb, Chris (Amanda) Branscomb, 20 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, 2 brothers Harry Collins, and Truman Collins, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William L. Casada, daughter Penny Casada, brothers and sisters Stoney Collins, Gin Vaughn, Jasper Collins, Robert Collins, Earlene Sawyers, and Jerri Bowling. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Vitas Hospice for their care and compassion during this difficult time.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family with Josh Branscomb officiating. Services have been entrusted to the Blessing Funeral Home, Tipp City.
