Barbara B. Emberton, age 70 of Troy, passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at the UVMC Hospice Unit, Troy. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on July 18, 1948 the daughter of Robert & Jeanette (Martin) Deardoff. She worked for many years at the Dayton and Troy Libraries.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Ray Emberton, children Chris Emberton (Brandie Bricker) and Jennifer Robinette (David Bowman), stepchildren Tim Emberton, Chuck Emberton and Lisa Collins; grandchildren Austin Robinette and Megan Robinette and several step grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother John Deardoff; sisters Delores Snyder and Sharon Overholtz and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the BLESSING-ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City. A funeral will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Bobbie Predmore officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Barbara'a memory to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 4400 Lake Forest Drive, Suite 120, Cincinnati, Ohio 45242.
