Barbara June Otis, age 93 of Tipp City, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Stonespring of Vandalia. She was born in Bakersville, North Carolina on May 25, 1932, the daughter of Homer & Edna (Grindstaff) Ledford. She was a member of North Dayton Baptist Church and Northridge Baptist Church. She worked as a bookkeeper for Tobias Heating and Cooling for 17 years. She is survived by her children Judy (John) Fry, Jeffrey (Linda) Otis and Joni (Dewey) Buck; grandchildren Jacob (Natalia) Fry, Jason Otis, Jeremy (Elizabeth) Otis, Nolan (Nicole) Buck and Kaylee (Casey) Ferralli; great grandchildren Rhiann Otis, Cohen Otis, Kinlee Otis, Carter Otis, Parker Otis, Sofie Fry, Booker Buck, Nora Buck, Lorelei Ferralli and Elliott Ferralli; and her “Sister by Love” Wanda Pence and Louise Middleton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 55 years Walter I. Otis in 2008; and her brother Jimmy Ledford. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 12:30 – 1:30 pm at the ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 1:30 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Greg Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Dayton Memorial Park, Dayton.
