Bessie Lauraette Rinehart, age 100, of Dayton passed away Friday, November 8, 2013 in the Widow''s Home, Dayton. She was born in Kenton, Ohio on August 15, 1913 the daughter of Robert & Rosa (Longstreath) Poe. She worked as a cook for Goody''s Caf in Dayton. She was an avid bowler for over 60 years and bowled until she was 93 years old. She won 2 Dayton City Bowling Championships and was awarded Ambassador to Bowling by the Dayton Bowling Assn.
She is survived by her children Eugene Victor Rinehart Jr. of San Diego, Ca., Robert Oscar Rinehart of Chandler, Az., Ethel Ann Dieker of New Carlisle, Barbara Arlene Mopps of Richmond, Ind., and Earl Leonard Rinehart of Dayton, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Victor Rinehart in 1988, 2 sisters and 4 brothers.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, November 11, 2013 from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm in the BLESSING FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr. Tipp City. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 12:00 pm in the funeral home with Deacon Dan Harville officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
