Betty Ruth Dennison, age 98 died Saturday, July 13, 2024, in her sleep at her daughter's home where she has resided since the death of her husband in 2019. Betty celebrated her birthday on January 4, 1926. She was born in Huntsville, Ohio to the late Harold and Laura Catherine (Heron) McAdams. She was a preemie and was kept warm in a dresser drawer by the stove. Shortly after her birth she got pneumonia, but her spunk and tenacity started showing through even at her young age. Betty graduated from Huntsville High School, and at the age of 21 she married her husband Edwin E. Dennison whom she met at the roller rink. She was mostly a stay-at-home mom; she had a few part time jobs and was a lifelong seamstress who loved making clothes for her children and herself. She also belonged to a garden club, loved bowling and played in a card club with the same ladies for more than 50 years. Afte her husband retired, they bought a 5th wheel trailer and left on a trip around the United States. They visited every state in the union. While traveling the Alaska Highway to Alaska, they crossed the Artic Circle. They also traveled to all the Canadian Provinces and Mexico. The only stat they did not visit was Hawaii. Betty and Ed loved taking their children and grandchildren to zoos, amusement parks, and trips in their motor home. Betty had a beautiful life, with a beautiful family who loved her dearly. She will be forever missed and greatly loved.

She is survived by her children, daughter Pammela Dennison Davis of troy, son Richard (Christine) Dennison of Covington, and daughter Rita Dennison Girard of Greenville, North Carolina; 10 grandchildren Wade (Lindsay) Davis of Lebanon, Jarrod Davis, Brecken Davis, Logan Davis, all of Troy, Trina (Joe) Severyn of Dayton, Alex Dennison of Covington, Dr. Dylan (Netha) Girard of Centerville, Jacci Thomas and finance (Ricky Puryear) of Greenville,  North Carolina, Eddie (Ashley) Girard of Greenville, North Carolina; 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 72 years Edwin Dennison; grandson Andy Girard and a son-in-law Daniel Davis.

A Memorial Service will be held at a late date. Services have been entrusted to the Zerkle Funeral Home, Tipp City. Condolences may be sent to the family through this online guestbook.
