Billy Joe Johnson, age 80 of Dayton, Ohio, peacefully left this world on his own terms at Hospice of Dayton on Monday, March 27, 2017 after living with Alzheimer''s Dementia.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Arlene, his son Billy Joe Jr., his daughters, Karen, Leslie, and Elaine, six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Blessing-Zerkle Funeral Home, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City. A funeral service will held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in B.J.''s memory to the Alzheimer''s Association - Miami Valley Chapter, 31 W. Whipp Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45459.
