Bobbie Jean Palmer, age 88 of Tipp City passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at her residence. She was born in Osceola, Arkansas on October 14, 1929 the daughter of George Hafford & Eunile (Williams) McClellan. She was a member of the Tipp City Church of Christ and she enjoyed sewing and making porcelain dolls. Bobbie and her husband, Bill, were foster parents to many children over the years.
She is survived by her sons John Palmer and Chris Palmer; grandchildren Jeffrey Palmer and Julie Prosper; great grandchildren Lila, Addie and Blake; brothers Dale (Kathryn) McClellan, DeArvin (Doris) McClellan, and Bud (Mildred) McClellan a sister Clyde Ann Mauldin; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill Palmer, and brothers Harold, Jimmy and Bennie McClellan.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the BLESSING-ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City. A funeral service will follow on Thursday at 7:00 pm. Burial will be at the Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fredericksburg, Virginia. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Bobbie's memory to Hospice of the Miami Valley, 46 N. Detroit St, Suite B, Xenia, Ohio 45385 or to Potter's Children's Home, 2350 Nashville Road, Bowling Green, Kentucky 42101. Condolences may be made to the family through this online guestbook.
