Carl Walker age 78 of Troy, passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2010 in Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. He was born in Nicholas County, Kentucky on September 4, 1931 the son of Hobart & Clara (Blake) Walker. He was a farmer all of his life and worked for Springhill Nursery from 1965 to 1981 as a farmer and truck driver, a member of the Tipp City VFW and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Thelma (Ritchie) Walker, children Beverly Diane Walker, Kenneth Lee Walker, Judy Arlene, and Leslie Eugene, 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, a sister Millie DeSelms of Cincinnati, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and 4 brothers.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, May 14, 2010 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm in the BLESSING FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr. Tipp City. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 12:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Lewis Reindel officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
