Catherine Louise Clements, age 101 of Dayton, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Hospice of Dayton. She was born on February 15, 1924, the daughter of Albert Charles & Hattie Pearl (Gains) Marshall. She was an exceptional seamstress whose talent and attention to detail could bring beauty to anything she touched. She loved books and reading, always finding joy and comfort in stories and learning. She was also a wonderful cook, writer and poet, a Bible scholar, and helpful event planner who made holidays and everyday moments feel special for the people who she loved. She devoted much of her professional life to working for the Air Force At Wright Patterson Air Force Base as a contract administrator clerk, a career she took great pride in before retiring. Even in retirement, she continued serving others as secretary of her condo association, where her leadership, organization, and determination were greatly admired.
She is survived by her daughter Nancy (Larry) Clements Beasly; grandson Steven Joe (Debra) Beasley; great grandchildren Casey Joe Beasley and Kaelyn Jo Beasley; nieces and nephews Charlene Smith, Pamela Fontaine, Debra Vaughan, Diane Marshall and Becky Grove.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 66 years Harold Leroy Clements; sons Howard Marshall Clements and Albert Keith Clements; brother James Wesley Marshall; and sisters Charlene Elizabeth Murphy and Mary Frances Holtzclaw. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 1:30 pm at the ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City. The burial will be held at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Catherine's memory to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave, 45420. Condolences may be made to the family through this online guestbook.
