Claudia Loraine Franks, age 82 of Richmond, Indiana and formerly of Dayton passed away Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Reid Hospital, Richmond, Indiana. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on April 27, 1942 the daughter of Clyde Sr. & Francis (Rogers) Stansberry. She worked as a Veg Cook for MCL Cafeteria in Dayton and Richmond for many years. She enjoyed many hobbies including painting, ceramics, square dancing, crochet, cross stich, sewing, planting flowers and watching tv.

She is survived by her daughter Penni Abney; grandchildren Joshua Abney and Jessica Napier; great grandchildren Robert, Stephen, Skyler, Jessie, Mary and Noah Napier; brothers Keith and Gary Stansberry; sister Kay Cox; nieces and nephews Amanda Walters, Sean & Nathan McCorcle, Gabriella Burr, Tammy Long, Peter DeChamp, Danny, Michael, Tara and Elizabeth Stansberry and Clyde Stansberry III; and cousins Pat Foster, Diane Coteral, Buddy, Raymond Naseman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Carl Franks Jr.; brother Clyde Stansberry Jr.; nephew Clyde Stansberry III; niece Kathleen Stansberry and cousins Colleen Greene, Jimmy McGraw, Joyce Clagsby and David Naseman.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 2:00 pm at the Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, 11890 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City. Services have been entrusted to the Zerkle Funeral Home, Tipp City. Condolences may be sent to the family through this online guestbook.
