Della Asher, age 83 of New Carlisle, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2013 in Dayspring Healthcare Center, Fairborn. She was born in Roark, Kentucky on April 20, 1930 the daughter of Willie & Pearl (Holland) Roberts. She attended the Fairborn Enterprise Baptist Church. She loved to read, sew, bake biscuits for her church, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children Edith (Jerry) Downey, Loretta Asher, Violet Borders, Winfred Asher, and Maggie (Matt) Gapinski, 16 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Stanley Asher, sons Ernest Asher and Larry David Asher, brother Cecil James Roberts, and a sister Anna Lee Collins.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm in the BLESSING FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr. Tipp City. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at 10:30 am in the funeral home with Pastor Bobby Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Della''s memory to the Fairborn Enterprise Baptist Church Willing Workers Fund, 1614 Stewart Blvd. Fairborn, Ohio 45324.
