Donna Y. (Johnson) Brooks, only child from Ashland, Kentucky, age 84 of Moraine, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 23, 2015 peacefully at her home following a lengthy illness. She was born on August 29, 1930 the daughter of James Marion & Bessie Mae (Sparks) Johnson. She was a member of Moraine City Baptist Church, she loved volunteering for the city, and loved Monday night music at Moraine Rec. Center.

Donna is survived by her 4 children Gwendolyn D. (James) Tschairt, Regina S. Matheny, Earl "Robbie" Brooks II, Jayme L. (Bo) Mack, 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter, and numerous other relatives and many special friends,

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 68 years Earl R. Brooks on April 4, 2015, a son-in-law Herb Matheny, and a grandson Rodney Matheny.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2015 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at the BLESSING-ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr. Tipp City. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Henry Watts officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
