Obituary

September 4, 1937. She worked in personnel and administration for many years and was a United States Army veteran who served in WWII. She was a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts and a former member of Sulphur Grove United Methodist Church in Huber Heights.
Surviving her are her children, John (wife, Carol) Brackney, and Dona (husband, Daniel) D''Angelo; son-in-law, James Kilby; grandchildren, Sunny D''Angelo (fianc, Jeff Robinson), Jasmine D''Angelo, Melaine (Hayslip) Betz (husband, Tom), and Michelle (Hayslip Scamblis) Allen (husband, Rick); and two great-grandchildren, Nicolas and Alexis Scambilis. Preceding her in death by three days was her sister, Floretta Menchen; Also preceding her in death were her husband William W. Brackney, daughter, Mila (Hayslip) Kilby; brother, George E. Menchen; and sister-in-law, Betty Jane Menchen.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 17, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Sulphur Grove United Methodist Church in Huber Heights, with calling taking place for one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Forrest Hills Memorial Gardens in Tipp City. Blessing Funeral Home, Tipp City is handling arrangements.
