Dorothy Marie Schwind, age 80 of Tipp City, passed away Friday, January 20, 2017 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. She was born in Morgan County, Indiana on June 11, 1936 the daughter of Ernest & Mabel A. (Landrum) Hacker.

She is survived by her children Steve (Selena) Schwind, Johnna Schwind, Jene (Rebecca) Schwind and Pete Schwind. 2 grandchildren Shane Schwind and Noah Schwind, great grandchildren Alex, Amber, Colton, Gabriel and Mackinzie, 3 brothers Kenneth Hacker, Harold Hacker and Maurice (Elaine) Hacker, several nieces and nephews and her very special companion "Maggie".

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 46 years John Schwind, and 3 sisters Lois Thrasher, Wilma Landrum and Barbara Ferguson.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from 11:00 - 1:00 pm at the BLESSING-ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with her daughter-in-law Pastor Selena Schwind officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
