Elaine Kay Hanvey, age 69 of Dayton, passed away Friday, September 11, 2026, at home. She was born in Dayton on September 27, 1956, the daughter of Arthur C. & Mary (Warren) Trader. She was a member of the Greenview Calvary Tabernacle in Englewood.

She is survived by her son Jeremy Hanvey; grandchildren Jaden Hanvey, Jaxson Hanvey, Brianna Carico, Josh Carico and Jonah Carico; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jerry Lynn Hanvey; daughter Jennifer Hanvey; brother Carson Trader and her sister Betty Huff.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at the ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 12:00 pm. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
