Eleanor R. Shiverdecker, age 88 of Trotwood, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2015 in her residence. She was born on March 31, 1926 in Lakeview, Long Island, New York the daughter of Albert & Marjorie (Biffar) Norton. Eleanor was lifelong homemaker, who always provided her loved ones with a soft place to fall and a kind word. She enjoyed playing Bingo and puzzles, watching the Cincinnati Reds and wrestling. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by her children Terry (Ann) Shiverdecker, Sandra Shiverdecker, Dennis (Regina) Shiverdecker, and Dawn Swain, 6 grandchildren Tamra, Jason, Justin, Glen, Vondell, and Marcus, 5 great grandchildren, sisters Margorie Carmen, Audrey Petrucci, and Linda Schupp, brother-in-law Harold Shiverdecker, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 50 years Oscar Shiverdecker in 1995, brothers Harry and Al Norton, and a sister Gloria Sorbi.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm in the Blessing Funeral Home, 11900 N. Dixie Dr. Tipp City. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.blessingfh.com.
