Elijah Tomlin, age 86 of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Upper Valley Medical Center. He was born the Seventh Son of the Seventh Son in Knott County, Kentucky on September 8, 1934 the son of Willie and Florence (Combs) Tomlin. He was a member of the Moraine City Church of God and attended the Park Layne Church of God. He was the owner and operator of Tomlin Home Improvement form many years.

He is survived by his daughters Cathy (David) Ramsey and Linda (Carl) Crawford; 2 grandchildren Joshua (Erin) Morrow and Chad Tomlin; 5 great grandchildren Alexis (Tim) Roman, Isabelle Morrow, Sophia Morrow, Camden Morrow and Zachary Morrow; 1 great great grandson Waylon Roman; a brother Gene (Willa) Tomlin and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 60 years Wanda Tomlin; brothers Orville, Wes, Tom, Clarence, Roy and Glenn Tomlin and sisters Lena, Edna and Bessie.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Sebastian officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Elijah's memory to Hospice of Miami County, P.O. Box 502, Troy, Ohio 45373 or to the Parkinson's Foundation, 325 N.
