Elnora Louise Lewis, age 96 of New Carlisle, peacefully passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2026, in her home surrounded by her family. She was born on March 6, 1930, in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of Edwin William & Helen Marie (Hudnell) Lamka. She was a Lifetime member of the Ladies’ Auxiliary VFW #657. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, watching Westerns, NASCAR and religious programs on TV.

She is survived by her daughters Shirley (David) Lubeke, Vickie (Henry) Jones, Tonya Phillips and Teresa Burchett; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; sister Evelyn Buirley and several nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Herbert Lewis in 2010; daughters Cindy Webb and Carolyn Davis; son-in-laws Gary Phillips, Perry Burchett and Sonny Davis; and her brother Jerry Lamka. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

A gathering of family and friends will be on Friday, September 4, 2026, from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm at the ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Roland Albert officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
