Frances Jones, age 75 of Kettering, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Legacy of Centerville. She was born in Thousand Sticks, Kentucky on August 10, 1949, the daughter of Woodrow & Martha (Keen) Woods. She was very involved in several church activities including playing the piano and singing in the choir.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years Clarence Jack Jones Jr.; children Sharon Louise (Lonnie) Preston, Deide Anne (John) Handley and Michael Woodrow (Brooke) Jones; grandchildren Leanne (Gary) Bates, Robert Preston, Sydney (Oscar) Sanchez, Allie Mae (Trent) Brewer, Melody Tincher, Brooke Handley, Haven Handley, K'la (Bobby) Tomlinson and Kyle (Stephanie) Marlatt; great grandchildren Jay, Oliver, Beau, Mason, Eli, Tyler, Luke, Noah and Emma; brother and sisters Brenda Johnson, Donald Ray (Glenda) Woods, Ronald (Susan) Woods, Christine (Kenneth) Whitaker, Ernest Wayne Woods and Roger Woods; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Darrell Woods.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 9:30 am – 11:00 am at the ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City, Ohio. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Jesse Aaron officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
