Frank Edward Castles, age 86 of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2012 in Hospice of Dayton. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 17, 1926 the son of Frank and Elizabeth (Bender) Castles. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II and the U.S. Marines during the Korean War. He was a member of the Printcraft Union and a member of St. Paul''s Lutheran Church, Wayne Ave. Dayton. He enjoyed golfing and won several local tournaments over the years.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Virginia (Iseringhausen) Castles, 3 daughters Janice (Tony) Beckett, Beverly (Mark) Baker, and Lisa (Larry) Lowe, and 4 grandchildren Aaron (Jessica) Baker, Christopher Beckett, Elise Baker, and Ariel Lowe.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, September 21, 2012 from 5-7 pm in the BLESSING FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr. Tipp City. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 10:30 am in the funeral home with Pastor Bob Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Frank''s memory to the Disabled American Veterans, 3200 Vine St. Cincinnati, Ohio 45220.
