Franklin Dale Lawson, age 73 of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born on March 29, 1951, in Sparta, Tennessee the son of Jimmy Lawson. He was a truck driver for many years in the Dayton area and a member of the Troy Fish & Game. He loved to travel and tell stories.

He is survived by his wife Margaret (Brown) Lawson; sons Mikel and William Lawson; step children Joshua (Joanne) Brown, Jesse (Amber) Neely and Barbara (Andre) Oatneal, grandchildren Kodey Lawson, Kasey Lawson, Kris Lawson, Natalie Brown, Nylah Brown, Nathan Brown, Tristyn Neely and Treyton Neely; great grandchildren Kayden Lawson and Autum Lawson; brother-in-law Frank Hornick; co-workers Paul Ballou and Don Achs; many friends including his special dog "Buddy".

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife Patsy Lawson; brothers Leroy Lawson, Leon Lawson, Perry Lawson, Robert Herron and Thomas Herron; sisters Ellen Benchic and Mary Hornick.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City, Ohio. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Anna Coleman-Leach officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
