Fred Louis Vagedes, age 56 of Tipp City, passed away Monday, December 24, 2012 in his residence. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on July 2, 1956 the son of Louis & Evelyn (Scarbury) Vagedes. He retired in 2011 as a teacher from Miami Valley CTC after 30 years. He was a member of St. John''s Catholic Church in Tipp City. Fred was an avid fisherman and hunter.
He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Vagedes, 3 daughters Jessica Vagedes, Caitlin Vagedes, Regan (Aaron) Smith, 2 granddaughters Kailey Bryson and Aubrey Bryson, sister Gail (Jerry) Kessler, 3 brothers Bruce, Ken and Dan Vagedes, several nieces and nephews and long time partner Karen Terrell.
He was preceded in death by his father, a sister Cathy Stough, and a brother Steven Vagedes.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm in the BLESSING FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr. Tipp City. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 1:00 pm in the St. John''s Catholic Church, 753 S. Hyatt St. Tipp City, with Father Marc Sherlock officiating.
