Fred Williams, age 74 of Vandalia passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2010 in his residence. He was born on June 3, 1936 in Berea, Kentucky the son of Bert Joseph and Martha Alice (Mounts) Williams. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines. He retired from ADT as a manager after 28 years and then worked part-time as a truck driver for Expediting Trucking.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Nancy Katherine (Cook) Williams, daughters Tari (Terry) Booth and Linda (Delone) Jones, grandchildren Tari, Jim, Mark, Micky, Billy, Angela, and Amber, numerous great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren, 4 sisters Helen (Ray) Hendricks, Rosie Cox, Rachel Williams, and Mary (Ben) Hall, a brother Jim (Phyllis) Williams, and several nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Billy Croucher, and several brothers and sisters.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2010 from 12:00 - 1:00 pm in the BLESSING FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr. Tipp City. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor David Renfro officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
