Gale Wayne Thuma, age 74 of New Carlisle, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Troy, Ohio on May 12, 1944 the son of Gale C. & Eileen (Dick) Thuma. He was a member of the American Legion and retired from St. Regis Paper Co., Troy, Ohio.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Maxine (Walters) Thuma; daughters and son-in-laws Deborah & Ronnie Jones, Angie & Scott Muir and Vicki &  Robert Hagler; grandsons Brandon Jones, Derick Jones and Michael Muir; great grandchildren Garrett, Wyatt, Cheyenne, Landon and Samuel; several step grandchildren and great grandchildren and sisters Sonnie Fissell and Beckie Mason.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson Ronnie Wayne Jones and a brother David K. Thuma.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the BLESSING-ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Lanny Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in New Carlisle Cemetery, New Carlisle.
