George Algird Sadauskas, age 87 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015 in his residence. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on February 13, 1928 the son of Frank & Kay (Ramanauskas) Sadauskas. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines where he served in WWII. He retired from GMAC after 40 years and was a faithful member of St. Christopher Church, Vandalia.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Mildred (Rockey) Sadauskas, 5 daughters Mary Ann (Mike) Radwan, Rita (Tom) Ostendorf, Elizabeth (Terry) Cartwright, Cecelia Sadauskas, and Deloris (Jim) Lavan, 13 grandchildren Matthew, Michael & Mark Radwan, Robert, Mary, David, Ann, John, & Brian Ostendorf, Alec & Adam Cartwright, and Christopher & Emily Marion, and a sister Bertha "Berdie" Hansen.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 435 East National Road, Vandalia, with Father Frank Keferl officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the church. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in George''s memory to the St. Christopher Church, 435 E. National Road, Vandalia.
