Gerard Hendrik Rievers, age 88 of Tipp City, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born in Arcen, Holland on March 24, 1928 the son of Hubert Eugene & Elizabeth Ann (Ritzer) Rievers. He was retired from Laughter Corp., Dayton.

He is survived by his 3 children Elizabeth Ann Hostetter, Steven Eugene (Michelle) Rievers, and Melinda Sue (Patrick) Turner, 4 grandchildren Jason Bitters, Justin (Laura) Bitters, Trey Hostetter, and Kaleb Hostetter, 4 great grandchildren Jocelyn, Kayla, Bryant and Jonathon, a brother Hubert Rievers, a sister Marianne Reutelingsperger, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Irene Rievers, a grandson Tyler Steven Hostetter and a great granddaughter Kristina.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Gerard''s home, 6210 Canal Road, Tipp City, Ohio 45371. Services have been entrusted to the Blessing-Zerkle Funeral Home, Tipp City. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.blessingfh.com.
