Herbert E. Brown, age 88 of Westminster, South Carolina, left his earthly home on Friday, May 29, 2026, to meet his Heavenly Father. He was born on August 23, 1937, in Wallins Creek, Kentucky, the son of Herbert R. & Martha (Caldwell) Brown. Herbert retired from Greenville Technology in Greenville, Ohio. He worked at DAP in Dayton, Ohio many years before the plant closure. He is well known for his easy-going personality and love of tinkering in his garage. Herbert was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church on Coffee Road in Walhalla.

Herbert leaves behind his loving wife, Cynthia Brown; daughter, Becky Hecker (Andrew); son, Herbert A. Brown (Sandy); step-daughter, Catherine Wade; step-son, Albert Wade (Cherie); Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.

Herbert is preceded in death by his parents and his daughters, Rhonda Stewart and Sherry Benson. He will be greatly missed by his two loving companion dogs, Brinia and Peanut, and his loving cat, Merlin.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at the ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 12:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Saunders officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Tipp City, Ohio.
