Homer Calvin “Butch” Rogers Sr., age 79 of Riverside passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at Soin Medical Center, Beavercreek. He was born in Dayton on September 5, 1947, the son of Homer Wilson & Violet Rose (Collins) Rogers. He worked at the General Motors Truck & Bus Plant in Moraine and retired after 30 years.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Carolyn May (White) Rogers; sons COL Homer (Tammy) Rogers and Aaron Rogers; grandchildren SMSgt Luke (CPT Taylor) Rogers and SMSgt Erin Nicole Rogers; great grandchildren Rowan, Rafe and Isla Rogers and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Ernie, Allen, Teddy, Jimmy and Barry Rogers; sisters Margaret Marie Boyce. Susie Christman and Lisa Brush. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend and will be missed by all who loved him.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm at the ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday at 4:00 pm at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family through this online guestbook.
