Howard Suiters, 81, of Dayton, Ohio passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Hospice of a Dayton. Howard is survived by his wife of 31 years, Wanda Suiters. He is also survived by four children, Howard Suiters, Jr. and Debbie Suiters, Sherry Crossley Breno, Kathy and Jerry Key, Barbara and Gary Griffith and five stepchildren, Greg and Jocelyn Bartley, John Bartley, Debbie and Jack Ables, David Bartley, Cathy and Rob Adams, as well as 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Howard served his country in the United States Air Force as a Flight Engineer and is a veteran of the Korean War. He was a lifetime member of the VFW of Vandalia, Post 9582 and was Seam Squirrel Commander of the Military Order of the Cootie, United States. He was also a lifetime member of Amvets Post 99. Howard served as a Little League Baseball Coach and Little League Commissioner in 1969-70. He was a former Boy Scout and Eagle Scout and was a member of the National Muzzleloader''s Assn. Howard retired in 1995 from Plumbers Union Local 162. Following retirement he and Wanda spent 6 months a year at their retirement home in Florida. Howard made friends wherever he went and was loved by all who met him. He will be sorely missed by all.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm in the BLESSING FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
