Ida Mae Kaminsky, age 73 of Kettlersville, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 1, 2026. She was born in Walla Walla, Washington on July 20, 1953, the daughter of Lawrence & Ruth (Herbert) Widner. She was a member of Redemption Christian Tabernacle and volunteered in the nursery, greeting committee and Children’s Church. She was a member of the Kettlersville Village Council and enjoyed cooking, sewing, animals especially horses, and doing jigsaw puzzles in the winter. She had a strong faith in Jesus and loved serving the Lord in many ways.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Eric Kaminsky; daughters Camille Kaminsky (fiancé Rocky Swonguer) and Sara (Carl) Bohl; granddaughter LeAnna Kaminsky; great granddaughter Josephine Kaminsky; step grandchildren Taylor Bohl and Zach Bohl; step great grandchildren Ellie, Delanie, Dakota, Raven and Rhyland; brother Richard Widner; sisters Collette Widner and Marianne Widner; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Leslie, Lawrence, Jr, Paul and Michael Widner and sister Hazel Hammerly. She was a loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Redemption Christian Tabernacle, 11780 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City. A Celebration of Ida’s Life will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 pm at the church with Pastor Todd Hoskins officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to cover expenses in care of the Zerkle Funeral Home, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City, Oh 45371 or to Redemption Christian Tabernacle, 11780 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City, Oh 45371. Services have been entrusted to the Zerkle Funeral Home, Tipp City. Condolences may be sent to the family through this online guestbook.
