James Ralph Goins, age 79, of Tipp City, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2014 at The Laurels of Huber Heights. He was born in LaFollette, Tennessee on November 18, 1934 the son of Kelly & Mary Pearl (Wylie) Goins. He served in the U.S. Air Force and retired from General Motors after 35 years.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years Venus D.M. (Crutchfield) Goins, children Brian K. Goins and Kim M. (Steven) Baker, grandchildren Brandi N. (Chris) Haney, Derek M. (Megan) Goins, Kelsey M. Goins, Lindsey M. Belt, Justin M. (Farren) Goins, and Brianna N. Baker, great grandchildren Kamdyn C. Haney, Hallee D. Haney, Quintin M. Haney, Myles C. Haney, Holdin D. Haney, Wyatt R. Goins, Audrey E. Goins, Colton L. Goins, and Trevor N. Goins, Siblings Barbara Goins, Elaine Goins, Kenneth (Betty) Goins, Clester (Jacque) Goins, Juanita Estes, and Evelyn Miller, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Margie Gentry, and a brother Harvey Goins.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am in the Blessing Funeral Home, 11900 N. Dixie Dr. Tipp City. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.blessingfh.com.
