Jerry Lynn Clawson, age 62 of Huber Heights, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013 in Kindred Hospital, Dayton. He was born in Speedwell, Tennessee on February 18, 1951 the son of Earl & Betty Jo (Edwards) Clawson. He was a member of the Braden''s Chapel Church in Speedwell, Tennessee, a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp., and a member of the Ft. Black Masonic Lodge in Fairborn and a 32nd Degree Mason.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years Patricia (Potter) Clawson, children Jerry "Matt" Clawson and Sarah (Eric) Riley, 3 grandchildren Tricia, Layne, and Jagen, 5 brothers and sisters Dennis (Brenda) Clawson, Jim (Sue) Clawson, Kathy Lockhart, Bill (Carolyn) Clawson, and Robert Clawson and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son Nathan Clawson.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, July 19, 2013 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm in the BLESSING FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr. Tipp City. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 10:30 am in the funeral home with Rev. Tim Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
