JoAnn Harshman, age 73 formerly of Vandalia passed away Friday, July 17, 2015 in Hillspring of Springboro. She was born in Prestonsburg, Kentucky on January 11, 1942 the daughter of Moss & Nora (Whitaker) Dempsey.

She is survived by her children Mark Harshman, Kim Pulliam, and Leslie Harshman, grandchildren Chloe and Holden Midkiff, brothers Wayne and Lawrence Dempsey, sisters Donna Goble and Thelma Dempsey, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 37 years Paul W. Harshman in 1999, brothers Robert, Orville, Paul and Arnold Dempsey, and sisters Vesta Prater and Mae Oma Williams.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm in the BLESSING-ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr. Tipp City. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
