Obituary

Joanna Lou Baker Harvey, age 96 of Christiansburg, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at The Courtyard of Troy. She was born on October 8, 1929, in Christiansburg, Ohio, the daughter of Jean & Helen (Huddleston) Stafford. She was a 1947 graduate of Christiansburg-Jackson High School and later worked as a teller at the Farmers & Merchants Bank in Christiansburg. Lou was well known as an Avon Consultant and enjoyed selling products for over 25 years. She was part of a rare group who had many stories about living their entire life in Christiansburg.

She is survived by her sister Linda (Craig) Coles of Delaware; her beloved son Steve Baker; her devoted daughter Sue Littlejohn; her adored granddaughter Brandi Littlejohn and her cherished great granddaughter Kinley Lavender and many special friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Don Baker and her second husband William "Bill" Harvey. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Courtyard of Troy and Ohio Hospice for their professionalism and compassionate care during this difficult time.

Per her wishes, a private graveside service at Honey Creek Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Lou's memory to the Christiansburg United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 407, Christiansburg, Ohio 45389 or the Christiansburg Fire Co., P.O. Box 300, Christiansburg, Ohio 45389. Services have been entrusted to the Zerkle Funeral Home, Tipp City. Condolences may be made to the family through this online guestbook.
