John Paschal Hayden, age 97 of Huber Heights passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Owensboro, Kentucky on November 28, 1920 the oldest of 16 children to Henry Walter & Mayola (Mulligan) Hayden. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army where he was stationed in France during WWII.

He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Macel Ann (Maiden) Hayden, children Joseph Hayden, Mary (Larry) Baker, Paul Hayden, Debra Fraver and Marty (Jackie) O'Neal; grandchildren Sherri, Andrea, Brad, Lisa, Kyle, Zach, Tim, Jenny and Stacy; 8 great grandchildren; brothers Father Michael and David; sisters Rose Marie and Rachel; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter-in-law Jean Hayden and 11 brothers and sisters.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, August 27, 2018 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the BLESSING-ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in John's memory to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45420.
