John Lewis McKamey, age 74 of Tipp City passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Cypress Point Nursing Home, Englewood. He was born in Clinchmore, Tennessee on December 18, 1940 the son of Mike & Mary (Hembree) McKamey. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and a member of the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Dayton. He retired from Chrysler in 1994 after 31 years as an Inspector.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years Delores (Miller) McKamey, 4 children Debbie (Gene) Bunch, Cheryl (Jeff) Peters, Greg (Trish) McKamey, and Teresa (Greg) Bruce, 10 grandchildren Gregory, Heather, Jessica, Eric, Christopher, Jordan, Jonathon, Ashley, Paige, and Bailey, 6 great grandchildren Alexas, Jaci, Emma, Aiden, Zachary, and Harley, 2 sisters Wanda Lovely and Diane Johnson, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Barbara Terry and 2 brothers Tommy and John Henry McKamey.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, October 30, 2015 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm in the BLESSING-ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr. Tipp City. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 10:30 in the funeral home with his grandson, Jonathon Bruce officiating.
