Joy Ann Campbell, 77. of Medway passed away at 7:10 a.m. on Monday July 5th, 2010 at Wright Nursing and Rehab Center, Fairborn. She was born on March 9, 1933, in Findlay, Ohio the daughter of the late Doyt D. Stratton and Hazel B (Stotts) Clark.
She married George R. Campbell on Aug. 23, 1950 and he survives. She is also survived by six children and their spouses, Joyce and Jim Faulkner of Ellington Fl., Larry R. Campbell of Dayton, Jerry and Norma Campbell of Celina, Karen and Dean Winks of Piqua, Terry and Donna Campbell of Louisville Ky. and Gary Joe Campbell of Medway.
Joy was a loving grandmother of twelve grandchildren, Deana (David) Steele, Rob (Heather) Winks of Piqua, Phillip Campbell of Tipp City, Glenn (Kristy) Campbell, Christy (Travis) Lee, and Kimberli Stanich all from Ky., Raymond Mason and Randy (Jan) Mason of Fl., Matthew (Beth) Overman, Zachary and Emily Overman all from Celina, and James Jennings of Troy. She also enjoyed her 17 great-grandchildren. Additional survivors include one sister, Betty (Bill) Whitsal of Fairborn, and one brother Kurt (Carol) Clark.
She liked camping and an occasional boat ride and spent many years as an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 3491.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2010 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the BLESSING FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr. Tipp City. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 9, 2010 at 10:00 am in the funeral home with Matthew Overman officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
