Joy L. Lynch, age 80 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013 in Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton. She was born in LaFollette, Tennessee on April 17, 1933 the daughter of Jack & Margaret Norman. She enjoyed making birthday and wedding cakes for many years. She retired after 25 years from Northridge Schools working in the cafeteria.

She is survived by her sons Jeff (Tabitha) Lynch and Rodney (Karen) Lynch, 4 grandchildren Alexandria, Emma, Andy and Danielle, a brother Donald Norman, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 65 years Luther E. Lynch on June 8, 2013 and 3 brothers Howard, Jackie, and Lawrence Norman. The family would like to thank the staff at Stonespring of Vandalia for their care and compassion during this difficult time.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, July 8, 2013 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm in the Blessing Funeral Home, 11900 North Dixie Dr., Tipp City. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at 10:30 am in the funeral home with Pastor Lonnie Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
