Katherine Barbara Reasoner, age 88 of Dayton and formerly of Canton, New York passed away Sunday, September 29, 2013 in Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton. She was born in Kolfax, Illinois on December 6, 1924 the daughter of Joseph & Theresa (Knapp) Bedoe. She was a member of St. Mary''s Church, Canton, New York where she was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society and was a Eucharistic Minister. She and her husband Kenneth owned and operated Reasoner TV for over 50 years, and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She worked for the St. Lawrence County Board of Elections in New York for 40 years and was very active in the Democratic party.

She is survived by her children Ken Jr. and Shelia Reasoner of Victor, NY, Marty and Nancy Reasoner of Hammondsport, NY, Larry and Debbi Reasoner of Papillion, NE., Dan and Marlene Reasoner of Chalfont, PA., Terry and Jim Morrison of Roanoke, VA., and Sue and Steve Whitaker of Dayton, OH., 16 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 2 sisters Helen Lascola and Wilma Olund.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Kenneth Reasoner, Sr., a stillborn son Joseph, a grandson Kenny Dan Reasoner, and 12 brothers and sisters.

A Mass will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the St. Mary''s Church, 68 Court St. Canton, NY 13617 with Father Douglas Lucia officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary''s Catholic Cemetery, Canton NY. Memorial contributions may be made in Katherine''s memory to the St. Mary''s Catholic School, 2 Powers St. Canton, NY 13617.
