Lacy E. Phipps, age 97 of Englewood left this earth on Wednesday the 11 day of November to be united once again with his wife of 78 years, Donna, who preceded him in death on October 15, 2009. He was born in Glen Daniels, West Virginia on October 25, 1912 the son of George & Mary (Lemon) Phipps. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his children Glenna Mae (Gene) Neff of Florida, David Lee (Carolyn) Phipps of Florida, and Darrell (Susan) Phipps of Tipp City, 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 3 brothers Harold, Charles & Carl Phipps, and a sister Marjorie Cline.
He was preceded in death by his father and step mother George & Mamie Phipps, wife Donna S. Phipps, son Raymond Phipps, and 10 brothers & sisters.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2009 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am in the BLESSING FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr. Tipp City. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am in the funeral home with Pastor Norm Livingston officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
