Lawrence Dean Wilson, age 52 of Dayton, passed away Saturday, January 22, 2011 in Friendship Village, Trotwood. He was born in Oakland, California on July 12, 1958 the son of John W. & Opal Darlene (Haines) Wilson.
He is survived by his wife Sharon (Dunkle) Wilson, children Rudy Dean (Natashia) Kelley of Dayton, Dana Thompkins of Florida, and Amy Wilson of Tennessee, step children Bonnie, Eugene, and Danny Shilt, grandchildren Angela, Daniel, Danielle, Joshua, and Zachary, great grand children Taylor, Steven, and Skylar, mother-in-law Mary Dunkle, brothers Clifford Haines and David Paul Haines, sisters Grace Ann Wilson and Carmeleta Pruitt, and several nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and grandparents Edith and Rudy Kelley.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 from 4-7 pm in the BLESSING FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr. Tipp City. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 10:30 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
