Lela Maria Najiy, age 79 of Dayton passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2015 in Pinnacle Point Nursing Home, Dayton. She was born in Tyler, Texas on July 28, 1936 the daughter of Leslie & Lenora (Harris) Johnson.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years Abdulqahhaar Najiy, children Linda (William) Reed, Allen (Rhonda) Alexander, Loretta (Houston) Bolden and Kenneth Alexander, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, sisters Barbara Jean Dwes and Audrey Nell Miller, her favorite nephew Maurice Johnson and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, November 20, 2015 from 12:00 pm - 2:30 pm in the BLESSING-ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr. Tipp City. Islamic Prayers will be held on Friday at 2:30 pm in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.blessingfh.com.
