Obituary

Lillan Pressel Bowser, born July 25, 1919, passed away peacefully at the age of 92, Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Holy Cross Hospital, Ft Lauderdale, Florida. She was surrounded by loved ones throughout the days of Hospice care.
Lillian was born the daughter of Frank and Lina Pressel in a loving family with 7 siblings. Lillian was a devoted wife, beloved mother, cherished grandmother, and precious great-grandmother. In addition, she was often referred to as an "angel" by sisters, cousins, nieces and nephews, and good friends.
Lillian married Frank W Bowser on July 5, 1952. The early years of their life was spent raising two sons in Dayton, Ohio. The two of them worked and retired from General Motors. Retirement life was enjoyed in the sunshine state in the city of Ft. Lauderdale. Lillian dedicated her life to making good Christian choices and to those she loved. She led by example of treating others with generosity and kindness.
Enjoying life was one of Lillian's lifetime goals. She liked to play the organ and sing old time songs and hymns. Lillian loved to play cards, read books, study her Bible verses, crotchet afghans, and sit on the porch to share stories with her friends, Marge, Grace, Ivan, Lois and Gloria.
Lillian was an active member of the Grace Brethren Church in Dayton, Ohio. In Ft. Lauderdale , Lillian belonged to the Grace Point Church and Bible study club. Lillian was active in the church choirs and volunteer dinners.
Preceding Lillian in death was her husband of fifty-three years, Frank W. Bowser. Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Sharon Bruce (Michigan) and Richard and Roberta Bruce (New Mexico). Lillian is also the grandmother of Kirsten Mignin, David Peebles, Kirk Bruce, and Kris Bruce. Step-grandchildren are Tyra Hicks, Christina Thomas, Michael Shanklin, and Kelly Perea. In addition, Lillian was the proud great-grankmother of Blake and Brianna Raab, Katelyn Peebles Jordan Bruce, and Cayden and Kalleigh Mignin. Also preceeding Lillian in death were her siblings: Hildred, Frank, Orlina, Viola, Julian, Sarah, and Robert. Although Lillian was the last living child of her siblings, she is survived by her sister-in-law Mary Pressel and numerous nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2011 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm in the BLESSING FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr. Tipp City. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Forrest Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
