Lula Bell Wichlac, age 86 of Dayton, passed away Monday, June 2, 2014 in Maria Joseph Center. She was born in Evergreen, Alabama on April 3, 1928 the daughter of Eugene & Lula (Bradley) Phelps. She was very active in the community and was an avid HAM operator.

She is survived by her adopted son Michael Wichlac, granddaughters Tasha and Theresa Wichlac, 2 brothers Otis and Evie Phelps, 3 sisters Irma Dowe, Juanita O''Neal and Minnie Tyler, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Arthur Wichlac, 2 sisters Betty Frazier and Doris Palmore, and a brother Theo Phelps.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2014 from12:00 - 1:00 pm in the BLESSING FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr. Tipp City. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor David Swartz officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
