Marie "Moo" Lawless, age 92 of Vandalia passed away Saturday, November 26, 2011 in Vandalia Park Nursing Home. She was born in Lex, West Virginia on August 30, 1919 the daughter of John F. & Roxi Ann (Wiles) Chambers. She originally lived in Davy, West Virginia and has lived in the Dayton area for the past 50 years. She was a member of the Ashcraft First Church of God in Dayton for the over 40 years and she has led the singing for most of that time.
She is survived by her 2 daughters and sons-in-law Wilma & Mitchell Jackson of Vandalia and Vergie "Sug" & Bill Jeffress of Wichita, Kansas, 8 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 12 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John Lawless, son David Lawless, grandson David Jackson, and 13 brothers & sisters.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 from 4-7 pm in the BLESSING FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr. Tipp City. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 10:30 am in the Ashcraft First Church of God, 2596 Ashcraft Rd. Dayton, Ohio with Pastor George Sutherland officiating.
