Mary Alice "Betty" Cress, age 85 of Vandalia, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born in Auxier, Kentucky on June 6, 1931 the daughter of Everet & Millie (Burchett) Auxier.

She is survived by her children Linda F. Bryant, Steven D. Cress and Wendy K. Cress, grandchildren Erik W. Bryant and Jared I. Bryant, great grandchildren Deven W. Bryant, Dylan W. Bryant and Dakota A. Bryant, a sister Grace Harper and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 53 years Wayne M. Cress in 2001, brothers Lloyd and Monte and sisters Ethel and Anna.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at the BLESSING-ZERKLE FUNERAL HOME, 11900 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
